CLAT 2024 Analysis

CLAT 2024 is finally over, and what an easy variant paper! Overall, the paper could be termed as easy on difficulty level with moderate length. CLAT 2024 paper, although expected, can still be termed as easier than its predecessors. However, candidates should go through the detailed CLAT 2024 analysis to get a brief overview of the test, calculate their expected score, and plan their options accordingly.

Overall, an easy paper that made the day for the students. With an easy paper, the cut-offs are expected to be on the higher side. The top 3 NLUs are expected to have a cut-off of around 88-90. Mid-level NLUs are expected around 75-78.


CLAT Exam Analysis: Section-Wise

Given below, is a detailed section-wise CLAT 2024 analysis. All the test takers are advised to go through the detailed CLAT exam analysis (2024) to estimate their performance and evaluate possible options for them

There were 24 questions in the CLAT 2024 English section. There were 4 passages with 6 questions from each. Most of the questions were simple, straightforward, and contextual. Attempting 20-23 is a good attempt and a good score could be around 20-21.

There were a total of 28 questions based on 5 passages. Questions were asked from expected topics like Chandrayaan-3, G-20 Summit, Israel-Hamas conflict, etc. A few questions were from the static portion as well like the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The questions were straightforward from the passages. Overall, the section was weird and moderate. Attempting a total of 25-26 questions is a good attempt and a good score could be around 23-25.

There were a total of five passages, all of which dealt with mostly current legal updates. These passages were based on current affairs mostly covering topics such as the Data Protection Act, Juvenile Justice, Defamation, Inheritance, etc.

Overall this section was "easy". An attempt of 28-30 is considered good for the section and a good score could be around 25-26.

There were a total of 24 questions based on 4 passages. The questions were more “conceptual” than "contextual". The questions were quite straightforward and majorly revolved around Critical Reasoning but the options were confusing. An attempt of 20-21 is considered good for the section and a good score could be around 19-20.

Surprise! A mood change for students. Calculations were a little lengthy but very much doable from topics like ratio and proportion, percentage, etc. It had mostly easy questions. There were altogether 2 sets with 12 questions in total. An attempt of 10-11 is considered good for the section and a good score could be around 9-10.

CLAT Previous Year Analysis
