MNLU Mumbai was established in 2014, in the State of Maharashtra, for the development and advancement of legal education and for the purposes of imparting specialized and systematic instruction, training and research in systems of law and for the matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. MNLU Mumbai offers a forum for the community of scholars both within and outside India to take a broad inter-disciplinary approach to the study of law, thereby reaching a wide readership, including legal academics, social scientists, jurist, students and others.

Admission to this program is purely based on merit determined through a Common Law Admission test (CLAT) conducted by the participating law schools in rotation
For B.A.,LL.B (Hons)
A candidate for admission to the B.A, LL.B (Hons.) Degree Course shall have:
1. passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an examination equivalent thereto securing in the first attempt, not less than 50% (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates and persons with disability) in the aggregate
2. There is no age limit as per the 2017 rules
Those who do not clear the qualifying examination with the requisite marks are not eligible for admission.
B.A.,LL.B (Hons)
The intake for the undergraduate program is 100 seats.
