About CNLU

CNLU was established under the Chanakya National Law University Act,2006 (Bihar Act No. 24 of 2006)and included in section 2(f) & 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act, 1956. The University had its initial presence in the AN Sinha Institute, and then, in August, 2010, it shifted to its own campus situated in Nyaya Nagar, Mithapur village, which is spread over 18 acres of land.

The University has a three-storeyed library which is known as “Nishant Nilayam” (a place where the darkness ends).

The Library has a collection of more than 21,000 books.

CNLU Eligibility

For B.A/ B.B.A.,LL.B (Hons.)

A candidate for admission to the B.A, LL.B (Hons.) Degree Course shall have:

passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an examination equivalent thereto securing in the first attempt, not less than 50% (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates and persons with disability) in the aggregate There is no age limit as per the 2017 rules
